SPARK Singapore
This SG60, thousands came together for a poetic experience at Gardens by the Bay. SPARK, the celebrated light installation by Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde, made its Southeast Asian debut in Singapore, transforming the Supertree Grove Lawn into a shared landscape of light and reflection.
After captivating audiences in cities like Bilbao, London, and Melbourne, SPARK arrived in Singapore—welcoming visitors under the night sky in honour of National Day.
Presented from 31 July to 3 August 2025, SPARK at Gardens by the Bay featured thousands of eco-friendly light sparks that silently floated through the air, responding to the natural movement of the wind.
Drawing inspiration from the gentle glow of fireflies, the shifting patterns of bird flocks, and the slow drift of stars across the night sky, the installation invited moments of awe, connection, and wonder.
Jointly organised by Gardens by the Bay and IMBA, with experience partner H&B and in collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Singapore, this edition of SPARK celebrated SG60 and 60 years of diplomatic ties between Singapore and the Netherlands—a meaningful convergence of national milestones through art and shared imagination.
Brought to life with the support of Community Partner Tote Board, along with GIC and Partner DutchCham, SPARK brought communities together in reflection and celebration.
